FOR RESIDENTAL PROPERTIES – INFORMATION REQUIRED:

  • Service Address and UPC Number (Parcel ID) { Contact Bernalillo County Assessor’s Office }.
  • Your current water source and the service(s) you are requesting.
  • Does the property have an empty Meter Box?
    • If not, have your plumber/contractor contact Utility Development.  Click on:  Connection Permits.
  • The meter size you need { most residential properties us ¾” to 1” meters }.
  • Click on this link Utility Expansion Charges (UEC) as of July 1, 2024 to see charges for establishing service.
  • If Residential property is outside Established Service Area Water Resource Charges (WRC) as of July 1, 2024 may also be required to establish service.
  • The UEC/WRC charges may be paid in full or financed with a down payment.
  • If you will be making a down payment, we require
    • Proof of Ownership and a copy of the owner’s Government Issued ID

FOR BUSINESS PROPERTIES (Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional) – REQUIREMENTS

If your property will be used for a Multi-Family development, please contact us for charges to establish service.

First you must have an “Availability Statement”. If a project was needed, a “Letter of Conditional Project Acceptance” is also required. – Contact Utility Development at utilitydevelopment@abcwua.org
